I then tried the techguy's recommendation in the above thread to visit and download install_flash_player_10_active_x.exe Īs reported previously, the Adobe recommendation (re Vista "glitch" whereby it doesn't uninstall properly) for uninstalling by running an uninstall program from C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\ was not possible as no exe files were present.

exe file (not an Adobe product) was pounced upon as Malware by AVG as soon as I re-enabled it, and slammed into the virus vault. Running the uninstall and install programs from the Adobe site with AVG and windows firewall disabled, I've attached this just in case it means more to someone on the forum than it does to meĬlearing out all dead registry entries (I used CCleaner rather than the one suggested, but I assume much of a muchness) and The only files I have in that folder are two log files, Install.log from about a year ago, and FlashInstall.Log from about an hour ago.
